Farmer Nick’s Picks

We’ve partnered with Nick Cutsumpas on a curated collection of must-have Accent Decor products that keep plants happy, healthy and Instagram worthy.
Nick is a “plantrepreneur” who is passionate about all things green. As a full-time plant coach and apartment farmer, Nick’s mission is to make the world more sustainable by giving people the knowledge and confidence they need to create their own green spaces. Nick has more than fifty clients in the NYC area and designs houseplant, landscape, and agriculture installations. He also appeared in the Netflix original series The Big Flower Fight.

Greta Pot – Texture texture texture. Ceramic is great but when it looks too smooth and shiny it can give off an “artificial” aesthetic. The brushed grooves of this planter give it so much character and it definitely gives off a homemade feel.

Irondale Collection – It can’t all be ceramic right? This worn iron look is perfect for an herb garden on your deck or windowsill, and it adds an element of modern farmhouse to create more contrast in your space.

Kenzie Hanging Planter – why is it so difficult to find a great hanging planter?!? Look no further ladies and gentlemen. The Kenzie planter has a glossy but speckled look and is perfect for hanging my pothos or philodendron. Great to cache with your nursery pots too.

Lifestyle Planter – My favorite indoor planter of all time (although I’m sure it can be used for outdoor purposes as well). I always prefer a white pot so the green in my plants really pops, but too much white can become overwhelming. The simplicity of these grey rings creates the perfect balance and it has turned my peace lily into a show stopper.

Bowie Bowl – Vases don’t have to be so tall and skinny, and this shallow bowl is great for dried flowers or even some smaller plants. I’m usually not one for shiny exteriors, but I’m digging the muted rose gold hue and think it would look awesome with some succulents.B

Canal Lantern – it’s not just about the plants right? The right lighting decor is essential when creating your best jungle vibe and these candle lanterns do the trick. I’m a sucker for anything that looks woven and I can’t wait to add these to the rooftop in my apartment.
