The freight program at Accent Decor is put in place to help our wonderful customers save money. As your orders increase in size, your freight charge percentage decreases, and that is a great cost savings that we are happy to share with you!  The freight program is also one of the ways that we help alleviate the guessing game of how much shipping you will incur on your orders, which we know can be a hassle for you.

Here are the details: We have a schedule in place that you can follow, in order to know what kind of incentives are available to you, as you add products to your orders. Any time. Any products. It is always the same, for your ease of ordering.

Orders under $1k: Actual freight charge applies
Orders between $1k and $2k: Freight charge is 10% of invoice total.
Orders between $2k and $4k: Freight charge is 5% of invoice total
Orders over $4k: Freight charge is waived completely
*Actual freight is based on dimension, weight, and distance

Flower Magazine + Todd Fiscus

In this season's Dallas showroom, we had the chance to work with floral designer Todd Fiscus for the first time, and we just can't say enough good things about him and his Todd Events team. They did an exceptional job decorating the showroom from top to bottom.

So, needless to say, we were ecstatic to see him featured in the most recent edition of Flower Magazine. Todd writes of his arrangement:
"My inspiration for this arrangement was a tabletop for a winter wedding. I love white flowers but really love the addition of muted gray and skin-tone colors. My favorite rose right now is ‘Quicksand.’ I adore the way it can range from lavender, to pink, to cream. Adding accents of pinecones and mercury glass and putting it on a mirrored surface merges glamour with natural elements."
What a lovely wintery design, Todd. Well done.

Events: Amy Osaba Floral Presentation

During the AmericasMart winter show, we had the pleasure of helping out an amazing designer and friend, Amy Osaba, with a lovely presentation on her extensive experience within the floral and event industry. The presentation also included a live demonstration of Amy's amazing skills in floral design.

Amy is the extremely talented designer behind Amy Osaba Event.Floral.Design, which offers design services from the smallest detail to the largest event.

We were delighted to see her use the Desiray Compote as a vessel to her gorgeous and organic arrangement, and set the stage with our regal and mineral Newport Column. The outcome was marvelous. Fresh with hints of vintage flare. Amy literally cut some of the flowers from her mother's garden that same morning, so you know that this special handpicked arrangement was made from the heart with a little added "something special." It was such a treat to watch her work!

The presentation was dynamic, we laughed and learned.
The arrangement was lovely.
Thank you, Amy, for including us in this event!

DIY White Frame Wall

One of the most talked about projects in this January's showroom design, was the white frame wall that we created in our desk/cafe areas at each market. So many of you asked us to share with you how to create this look on your own. Look no further.

Today, we will walk you through, step by step, how we sourced, arranged, and built this white frame wall, with ease!

TOOLS NEEDED
Drill
1/4” Glass Drill Bit (Do not go over 2000rpm)
8/32” x 1-5/8” Eye Bolt (qty. 10)
11/32” Rubber Grommet (qty. 10)
50lb. Gorilla hook (qty. 10)
1 Spray Water Bottle (Used when drilling holes)
Level
Patience

VASES:
Gallery Vase | 9.5 x 6.5 x 5
Gallery Vase | 4.5 x 5
Gallery Vase | 11 x 5.5 x 5 | Frame
Equator Vase | 5.5 x 8.25
Artsi Vase | 4 x 4.5 | Frame
Artsi Vase | 6.5 x 8.5 | Frame
Equator Vase | 6.25 x 11 | Frame
Mandy Vase | 7.75 x 13 | Frame
Mandy Vase | 5.5 x 5.25 | Frame
Larue Vase | 5.5 x 8.5 | Frame
Chic Vase | 11.75 x 4.5 x 6 | Frame

1 //  STAGE YOUR FRAMES | Before you get started with anything in this project, you will want to know where your end result will be hanging. Then, based on that space, you can decide the shape, size, and feel of your frame gallery. I highly suggest laying the frames out on the ground exactly as you would like them to appear on the wall. Make sure that your frame sizes are varying (try not to put 2 similar frames next to each other) and also, do not be too concerned with being symmetrical.

2 // LAYOUT PRODUCT | Once you have your frames laid out, you will want to place your vases within the frames to figure out what arrangement feels best for you. The frames and vases above were chosen ensuring that the frames would be large enough to hold the vases we picked out for the project. If you vary from the list above, be sure to confirm that the vases or frames you substitute follow this guideline as well.

3 // PAY ATTENTION TO DETAIL | The frames we choose were hand selected based on their varying details. We tried to include a wide range of shapes (rectangles, square, oval, etc...), sizes, and styles (ornate vs sleek). When you are laying out your frames, try to ensure that any frames that are butting up to another, are different enough that they will stand out, and create the overall eclectic feel of the gallery wall.

4 // DRILL AND PREP THE VASES | This step is the one that will take the most time and effort. Drilling through the vases must be done carefully, in order to not crack the product. It is completely doable, but make sure that you do it right! Using the above suggested drill bit and speed, carefully begin to make a hole in the top center of each vase. Drilling the hole takes time. Be sure to use the water bottle to keep the vase surface wet and cool. If it is easier for you, feel free to grab a partner to assist with this step.

5 // HANG AND LEVEL THE FRAMES | While following the layout you have already made of your frame wall, you will want to start placing the frames on the gallery area you have selected. Depending on the size and weight of the frames, you will need to choose what would work best for you. For the frames that we selected, any average sized nail or screw will work great. Most importantly, you will want to use a level to ensure that your frames hang evenly. Make sure to spend some time getting this part right, as it will greatly effect the overall look of the gallery wall.

6 // HANG THE VASES | Once you have your holes drilled, you will insert the grommet and eye hook into the hole securely. You will then want to align the gorilla hook in the center of the frame, and place it towards the top of the frame opening. Next, hang the eye hook on the gorilla hook and ensure that all pieces fit secure.

Voila! You now have yourself an incredibly classy conversation piece.

Thank you all so much for the lovely feedback on the frame wall. I hope that this tutorial is helpful in allowing you to recreate the look in your own shop, office, or home!

MADDIE
