Have you heard the news? Pantone has officially released their Color of the Year for 2014. You can read more about the release here.

What is the color of the year, you may ask? For over a decade now, Pantone has released their Color of the Year as a peek into the future in terms of color trends. This year, the color is described as,  “An enchanting harmony of fuchsia, purple and pink undertones, Radiant Orchid inspires confidence and emanates great joy, love and health. It is a captivating purple, one that draws you in with its beguiling charm.”

In our industries, many of us are all too familiar with the power of color in our daily lives. We get excited by the vibrant tones of a fresh pink peony, we are moved by the elegant hughes of a calla lily. Colors inspire emotion, they spark inspiration, and they drum up associations that move us to think, feel, and create.
