The Wedding

Saturday was just the perfect day for my sister's wedding. The sun was shining, everything went smoothly, the ceremony was heartfelt and intimate, and the reception was absolutely beautiful! My sister looked gorgeous, the flowers could not have been prettier, and everyone had a wonderful time dancing and enjoying the beautiful decor (and of course the delicious food too).

Here's a few pictures of the decor, I'm sure I'll have lots more to share soon!

(and here's one of my other sister, my husband, and me . . . so you can see how much fun it was!)

Today's the Day

Today is my sister's wedding day! Obviously I'm going to be way too busy to spend time updating my blog, what with all my 'matron of honor' duties . . . but I wanted to give y'all a quick behind-the-scenes look at all the flowers we've been busy setting up and some of the prep work Hitomi and the Accent Decor team have been working on!!

*Warning: You might be jealous of all the beautiful flowers - I know I am!

***And this is the big week - Sarah's wedding day is this Saturday! I know, I can hardly believe it either, but I'm so excited to see all that Hitomi comes up with, and to share it with all of you!

Four Seasons Hotel in Paris

We couldn't resist visiting the Four Seasons Hotel George V while we were in Paris. No, we didn't stay there but wanted to check out Jeff Lathem's work. And we certainly weren't disappointed - what beautiful stuff!

On the Home Front: Inspiration

Ok so I know that many of our customers are florists and event planners, and that's usually where I gear the inspiration I find online towards. However, we also have customers who are in the home design and decor business - and I certainly dont want to leave them feeling uninspired. So today, here's a few of my recent favorite finds from the home design world.

First of all, if you haven't checked it out yet, you most definitely need to go peruse the pages of the NEW design magazine: Rue. It's an online magazine that is chock-full of some of the most beautiful images I've seen in a long time. One of my favorite things EVER is to look through beautiful magazines, and I've been sorely missing my two favorites (Cottage Living and Domino) since they went out of print. I'm going to start a campaign to bring back Cottage Living -- I miss that magazine!

Gray inspiration from Layla Grace
From House Beautiful
This one is from another one of my all-time favorite e-mags, Lonny.

More from Lonny. Visit their website (and new blog) for loads of inspiration. I love their feminine, elegant take on modern.
From Plush Palate. I just adore the juxtaposition of rustic and modern here. Beautiful.

*My husband and I just bought a fixer-upper house . . . so I'm slightly obsessed with home design blogs and inspiration right now. Where should I be looking for awesome design inspiration? Here are a few pictures I've loved and saved so far.
