Tips and Tricks: Take 2

We are filming our second round of Tips and Tricks videos with Hitomi this week. I came into the office this morning, and was just in awe of Hitomi's work and creativity using our products. I couldn't help but take pictures to give you a little look at what's in store.

I know y'all have already noticed (because you've told me . . .) but Hitomi's talent is absolutely amazing! Keep watching our Tips and Tricks videos every week to be amazed and inspired . . . You can see them all on our YouTube channel.

Today check out these GORGEOUS flowers. Every single time I walk back there, I want to grab a bunch and bring them home to cover my house - don't beautiful flowers just make you happy? And add some of this beautiful weather we're having right now . . . perfection.

Check back tomorrow for a behind-the-scenes look at some of Hitomi's insanely creative ideas!

Beautiful. Creative. Bright.

I am trying really hard not to just use the word "inspiration" in the title of every single post I write - but I suppose since that's really the goal of this blog (to inform and inspire . . . ) then it's pretty inevitable!

That said, here's some eye candy from around the web today.

T2: Zinnia: Balance and Design

In this week's episode of Tips and Tricks, Hitomi uses the small-scale Zinnia Vase in a larger-scale design. She plays with balance and proportion to create an elegant and unique centerpiece design.

European Inspiration

Just thought I'd share a little more inspiration from our customers. The first two pictures are from Foxgloves and Ivy.

*Metal stands and birch pots.

These next three shots are from various flowershops on our European buying trip - beautiful!

So I really need to find some synonyms to use instead of "inspiration" because I use that word way too much -- I just can't help it, we're so full of inspiration around here.

Happy Friday everyone!

Cork Cover Design on T2

This week's tips and tricks features our new catalog cover design. Using virgin cork, which is made by stripping bark without killing the tree, this sustainable design is impressive and easy to recreate. Watch Hitomi show you how to do it.

And be sure to check your mailbox for our new catalog!

*We'd love to hear what you think about your new catalog and the new products/designs. Feel free to shoot us an email, leave us a comment, or write on our Facebook page!

*And on the blog this week: inspiration from our customers. Check back!

2010 Catalog in the Mail

We are so excited for you to get our new catalog in the mail! The catalog is always a labor of love for us. . . It's so much work and we put a lot of time, thought, and effort into it. But we are certain that it's precisely a result of this effort that we are able to produce a beautiful, inspiring, thoughtful catalog for all our customers to enjoy. We've had people tell us that our catalog is a constant source of inspiration for their work, and that's exactly what we want it to be.
So check your mailboxes - and remember that all our products are also available online. In fact, our entire catalog (sans prices) will be available for you to view online in the next week or so . . . check back often!

Clear Glass: Best Sellers

We've been running the numbers around here, looking at our entire collection, figuring out what you guys like/don't like etc. I found the list fascinating to see which products are selling the most and which ones are your all-time favorites . . .

Many of these are long-time favorites that still sell like hotcakes (that's the technical term, I'm certain). But in case you haven't seen them before, I thought I'd point them out to you.
