Thank-you SO much to everyone who entered the Accent Decor/JTV design contest at uBloom.com. There were so many beautiful entries – we obviously have some very talented customers! Alas, we could only choose one winner . . . and it’s Dodie Sy of Brassavola Floral Couture in Chino California for his Breath-taking Flower Creation “SOPHIE”.
He describes his creation: A modern interpretation of the “Lampshade” centerpiece. Using three tube vases filled with black faux pealrs in varying heights. To achieve a more prominent look the “Lampshades” are elevated by glass orbs in varying sizes filled with Bear Grass and dark purple Dendrobium Orchids. The “Lampshades” are trimmed with Dusty Miller leafs and dark purple Dendrobium Orchids.

The judges were unanimous in their decision, and here is what judge Els Teunissen said regarding the winning entry: “Such creativity, in creating this lovely centerpiece. Using and matching vases together makes these 3 pieces unique. Use of color textures and form are so well done!”

Congratulations to Dodie – thanks for inspiring us all with your creativity! Dodie will get to enjoy a trip to Atlanta for the filming of JTV at the Accent Decor warehouse.
